About this job

A Solicitor 6-year apprenticeship working in a legal environment designed to lead you into a successful career in the legal world.

The apprenticeship features a 6-year programme, incorporating a degree and a final assessment with the SRA’s qualifying solicitors exams leading to full enrolment with the SRA.

Special requirements for this post

Be committed to the entire programme of your studies and work placement for the 6 year duration.

The minimum criteria for this role is 3 A Levels, at Grade B and above.


Apprenticeship opportunities are for residents of London Borough of Barking & Dagenham only and care leavers of Barking and Dagenham will be offered an interview if they meet the minimum criteria.

Applicants must not already hold an equivalent qualification or higher in the advertised apprenticeship subject area.


About you

This role will involve supporting the operational functioning of the service whilst learning and developing the key skills and experience required for a solicitor.

You will be expected to attend University and will be granted 1 day a week study leave (destination to be agreed).

You will cover both contentious and non-contentious areas of law and will gain the knowledge needed to practice effectively, taking into account changes in the role and developments in the law.

You will need to be highly motivated and committed to this apprenticeship.
