Truebyte are an established IT services provider and are leading experts at providing IT support within the AEC industry. We’re looking for an experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer with impeccable attention to a passion for technology. This is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly expanding team.
The role of 3rd Line IT support engineer has a specific focus on higher skill and complex IT services tasks. This position would suit an experienced IT Engineer who enjoys stimulating and challenging technical work.
What you’ll be doing
- Work with our AEC customers in an empathetic manner to resolve issues.
- Point of escalation from 2nd line team for more technical tasks
- Manage a diverse range of tasks from Incidents, Service Requests and some project related tickets.
- Managing multiple different client environments across many sectors within the SME space.
Essential Technical Skills
Strong working knowledge of:
- Windows Server Administration
- Server Hardware
- Networking fundamentals
- Routing and switching
- Office 365 Administration
- Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi
- VOIP systems such as 3CX and Teams Voice
- Storage
- Backups and Backup Processes
- RMM
Highly desirable skills
- Delivery to AEC clients
- IT support in environments running CAD/Visualisation/BIM workflows
- Proven experience working in an MSP environment
Attributes required for the role
- Fluent English language communication skills to allow you to provide effective telephone and onsite face to face support. English writing ability for clear and accurate ticket logging and updates.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a MSP environment
- Methodical approach to problem solving with emphasis on testing and verification, assuring quality of work.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work on-site at client locations when required
Licence
Valid UK Driving licence required.
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE, with a 3-month probationary period. We help you settle into your role, getting to know our team & mix of clients
