JCE Energy is an innovative division established in 1998 to provide specialist solutions for all aspects of renewable energy projects.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a 3D Draftsperson to join our Aberdeen based engineering team.
The Role:
The 3D Draftsperson will report to the Engineering Manager and will be primarily responsible creating 3D drawings based on provided 2D drawings and physical objects. The main responsibilities of this role include:-
- Create 3D models out of 2D drawings.
- Co-ordinate with other engineers to ensure the model is correct.
- Compute mathematical formulas to find correct dimensions.
- Review and enhance 3D designs for existing products.
- Manage documentation of both new and revised 3D designs.
- Select materials, engineering standards, and generic parts for 3D product designs.
- Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Make revisions on a model based on customer requirements.
- Develop primary sketches and models for final selection of product designs.
- Present designs to internal teams clearly.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and passion for turning 2D drawings into 3D models, will have a very keen eye for aesthetics and very detail oriented.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and very detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD inventor to design 3D models.
- Relevant experience in computing mathematical formulas to find correct dimensions.
- Previous experience measuring product dimensions to create 3D models.
Salary: £Competitive, dependent on experience.
Contract Type: Temporary, with potential to become permanent
