Flooring Superstore (Connection Flooring Ltd) is an award winning flooring retailer. After starting out online back in 2012, we have gone from strength to strength and have grown considerably in size. Flooring Superstore is our main brand selling a wide range of floor types, whilst Direct Wood Flooring and Grass Direct are more specialist brands focused on smooth flooring and artificial grass respectively.

As part of our growth, we are looking for a 3.5T Driver to join our team.

For us, customer service is key. We do everything with our customers in mind and our drivers are our ambassadors out on the roads delivering not only our excellent products but also great customer service with lots of personality!
A day in the life of our drivers?
It’s not just about driving and delivering. Our drivers spend much of their day loading up, fuelling, checking the van is clean and fit for the next route and calling customers to ensure they know what time their delivery will arrive. This is a multi-drop role working in local areas with a typical day consisting of 10 deliveries with some manual handling involved.
Our drivers’ key responsibilities:
- To deliver the highest standard of service and be a brand ambassador for the business.
- Provide an efficient and ‘First in Class’ delivery service to our customers.
- Drive safely, obeying the rules of the road and following the correct Flooring superstore procedures
- To always adhere to the Flooring superstores Health & Safety Policies and procedures.
- To contribute effectively in our team environment.
- Complete a daily vehicle and equipment pre-trip and post trip check using our Defect reporting processes and systems.
- Ensure all customer delivery details are captured accurately via use of PDA system.
Ideally you will have:
- A great customer focus with a flexible and adaptable approach to deliver outstanding results
- A fully adaptable approach to work
- The ability to use your own initiative to ensure the customer receives their goods in a safe and timely manner
- Category B licence (maximum 6 points)
- Experience of working in a multi-drop environment.
- Minimum of 2 year’s driving experience
Hours:
You’d be required to work 45 hours per week from Tuesday to Friday between 6.30am and 6.30pm although a high degree of flexibility is required to ensure availability at key operational times. This may include a reasonable amount of additional hours to meet business needs.
