As a Customer Delivery Driver/Installer you will be the friendly face of the
John Lewis & Partners brand. As part of a 2 person delivery crew, you will be
trained to deliver and install a wide range of smart tech to our customers:
washing machines, fridge-freezers, TVs, and home furnishings plus more.
We will support you every step of the way from your induction into the
Partnership through to our on site personalised training courses which will
equip you with all of the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in your role
3.5 Tonne Driver - Starting rate of £27,000 (plus benefits, see listed
below)
Starting salary to increase following completion of training.
Hours - 41 per week
Our Drivers work 4 days out of 6 (Monday - Saturday) which means you’ll
enjoy 3 days off each week to maintain a healthy work/life balance. There will
also be opportunities for overtime on request
Generous meal allowance, plus free Hot drinks within the delivery Hub
Permanent early shift - 06:00 to 17:00
Trumpington Customer Delivery Hub - Cambridge, CB2 9FT.
Role Summary:
Your typical day will start with completing a daily vehicle check. After you have
safely loaded your vehicle and en route you will then complete your multi-drop
of deliveries and collections.
Upon arrival you will deliver/collect the customers goods to/from their room of
choice and undertake any services that have been booked. Making sure of the
following:
- Ensuring the right items get delivered on time and in full
- Installing a range of different products for our customers
- Making every customer encounter memorable

What you must have:
- Category B Driving Licence
- Pass a driving assessment to the John Lewis standard
- A strong passion for delivering great customer service
- The ability to handle heavy items
