Your team
Your team (CIO):
You’ll be working in our Chief Investment Office’s Investment Communications team. As part of the team, you’ll work with colleagues based around the world, including in London, Zurich, New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore to create and distribute the UBS House View – providing clients with the insights they need to react to market moving events and build stronger portfolio. The team provides you with an opportunity to hone your writing and communication skills, and to learn how we combine investment understanding, data, and digital marketing approaches to make our research personal, relevant, timely, and convenient for our clients. To achieve all this, the team interacts with a variety of partners, from fellow analysts, to product, sales, and technology.
Your team (GWM):
You’ll be working in our Global Wealth Management business. You’ll work closely with various teams within the UK both in the front and back office, learning about how a Client Advisor goes about building their network and those functions that help facilitate this process such as Risk, Operations and Business Management. In addition you will become familiar with the platform and proposition upon which the Division delivers its services including Financial Planning, Wealth Planning, Portfolio Management and Lending.
Your expertise
In particular, you should have:
- a well-rounded CV and involvement on-campus
- a proactive and genuine interest in developing a career in the field of Asset Management
- strong attention to detail
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- market & investment knowledge (preferred, but not required)
It doesn’t matter what you’re studying. (Really, it doesn’t.) But we’d like to see evidence that you can: - analyze a problem, take a view and come to a decision - plan, organize and communicate well - make things happen - stick with a task - work in a team - come up with ideas// Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
