We're based in the City of London - close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre and have everything we need to work flexibly.
The department
The Schroders Client Group is a dedicated team of professions that work collaboratively to ensure that Schroders delivers a seamless and tailored service to our clients. The team is made up of experts from across the organisation, including Sales, Business Development and Client Service. By working together, the Client Group drives collaboration and a deep understanding of our clients' needs, which allows us to provide them with the best possible investment solutions. The Client Group ensures that clients receive a consistent and high-quality experience, delivering the best of Schroders to our clients.

The programme
Our 2024 Summer Internship Programme starts on Monday 10 June 2024 and runs for 10 weeks ending on Friday 16 August 2024.
This Programme will provide you with a unique introduction into the investment management industry and how Client Group operates within it. You'll be given introductory training and opportunities to network with people across the business.
During your internship you will be assigned to a team within the Client Group where you will have the opportunity to work on live projects and shadow leaders across the business. Some of your tasks may include:
- Researching a project to identify a new market opportunity for Schroders, and presenting the findings
- Working with a senior colleague to improve the way we pitch a product to our clients
- Helping us make better use of the data in our customer relationship management system

- You need to be personable, adaptable and flexible in your approach to solving problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Innovative and analytical – you're happy to think outside the box and look for a fresh perspective
- Intellectually inquisitive - be passionate about financial markets, global trends and economics and beyond
- Collaborative and flexible - happy to get involved in variety of tasks and projects
- A growth mindset: we understand you may make mistakes, and when you do, we are looking for you to learn from these.
The knowledge, skills and qualifications we're looking for
- An honours degree or equivalent – we're not fussed when it comes to your degree subject or predicted grade
- You will be in your penultimate year of study. Unfortunately we no longer accept applications from final year students considering further studies (i.e. Masters) upon completion of undergraduate course
