Successful candidates will join our large team who perform a range of routine and specialist procedures in Microbiology producing results that aid in the diagnosis of disease and the treatment of patients. Microbiology within NHS Lothian is a very innovative laboratory, utilising a range of automation including a BD Kiestra Total Lab Automation system; one of their largest worldwide installations.
The post is based in the Bacteriology Laboratory at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh; however candidates may be expected to rotate to Bacteriology at St. John’s Hospital as part of their training.
Participation in the 24/7 working system will be expected as training progresses.
