This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.
A vacancy has arisen for a part-time permanent Band 3 office administrator.The successful candidate will join a team of orthoptic clinical staff providing a pre-school orthoptic screening programme mainly within nursery settings across Lothian and provide some administrative support for the orthoptic manager to support running of the service for staff and patients. Your role will include phone contact with nurseries ahead of vision screening visits and linking closely with the Orthoptic and Child Health admin staff.
Previous experience of working in an office setting in the NHS would be advantageous. You should demonstrate skills in engaging with people and have good verbal and written communication skills
