We are now recruiting the next generation of business, accountancy or finance undergraduate talent to take on a 12-month placement within our busy and fast-moving accounts team. Starting in September 2023, you will gain invaluable experience, be taught valuable skills and given both ownership and responsibility of your role.
With several successful undergraduate placements having returned to Gripple after graduation in the past, this is the perfect steppingstone to a successful career.
What is the role?
Working alongside our Sheffield-based accounts team responsible for three UK sites and six overseas sites, you will gain an insight into the workings of a finance department covering a range of accounting tasks and responsibilities. Duties will include:
- period end transactions and procedures
- product costings
- maintaining the fixed asset register
- assisting with credit control
- matching and processing purchase ledger invoices
- managing the expenses process
- assisting with year-end audit preparation
- undertaking ad-hoc project work
Working hours
Mon - Fri 8.30am - 5.00pm
The Company operates a flexible working policy, with office hours of 7.00am-7.00pm Monday-Friday.
Who you are
You must be currently studying a business, accountancy or finance course and be predicted a 2:1 or above. You should also be able to offer the following:
- Confidence working with multiple IT systems (currently MS Office, Power BI and E8, our bespoke ERP system), with good Excel skills
- Enthusiasm about developing yourself and the team
- An ability to work well both as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- A flexible approach and strong organisational skills
- Good people engagement and communication skills in all areas of the business
