Are you a University student looking for a role that may support your studies or gain valuable skills for a future career?

We can offer weekend only and part time rota’s

A 12 week training course is planned for June, July and August which will give you plenty of time to consolidate your learning before the Sept term

Opportunity's at our Wakefield and Rotherham Call Centres

111 Health Advisors are highly trained to assess and negotiate to ensure the best patient care and outcome - no two calls will be the same. We work around the clock receiving 111 calls from patients who need our help and advice. It is an incredibly rewarding role that allows you to really make a difference to our patients lives.

The role will be demanding, and this role may not be for everyone, you will be dealing with a wide variety of patients including some very emotional situations. Successful candidates are required to have the skills to deal with the variety of patient calls in a compassionate, professional way. You will also use your strong customer service skills to deal with complex, sensitive, and sometimes distressing information to ensure the right level of appropriate care for our patients is sought.

You do not need any experience in healthcare as full comprehensive training will be provided, however you do need to be dedicated to caring for all our patients and be able to work out of hours as this is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Yorkshires most successful and innovative 111/Integrated Urgent Care Providers (IUC). At Yorkshire Ambulance Service you will become part of a highly skilled and dynamic team based in the heart of Yorkshire and home to one of the UK’s most diverse communities. We are committed to staff development, and you will be presented with the opportunities to train and develop across the 111/IUC Service.

We require a minimum of three GCSE’s at Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English or you can demonstrate your customer service experience with strong communication and IT skills. If you are already NHS Pathways trained and your license is up to date this would be an advantage.

You will be expected to work six out of eight public holidays as well as three weekends out of four.

In addition to the attractive salary, our offer includes unsocial payments where appropriate under Section 2 of the NHS Terms and Conditions (excerpt below), an attractive NHS Pension, a generous holiday allowance as well as ongoing training and support for your continual professional development and progression.
